Typhoons! Don’t come to Taiwan again, please!

Three typhoons had visited Taiwan during these two weeks.

Although Taipei didn’t hurt a lot, other cities were destroyed by these typhoons seriously.

Especially the strong typhoon named 薔蜜 hurt Taiwan the most.

My friend just made a joke toady:
Maybe Taiwan becomes the most popular tour spot.
Typhoons want to visit, too.

However, it’s a joke. I really don’t want typhoons come again and again.

News say one more typhoon is going to come to Taiwan this weekend and I am worry about that.

Vacations are not bad, but I am not willing these vacations are because of typhoons.

Thoughts About After Reading CALL's paragraphs

What is CALL?
At first, I have no idea about this. I thought it was just a word.

After read some information that Sally teacher gave us, I got something from it.
Here are what I have got:

CALL is a simplified word of Computer-Assisted Language Learning, which means we use computer for help to improve our English.

Taiwan is only an island. We have to trade with other countries. So, English language is an important tool to communicate with others. As commuters became popular, CD-ROMs and Internet’s creation, we have new ways to learn English.

In the past, we used to read English books or magazines to learn; now, we can read foreign countries’ English news to get Information and also learn English.

In the past, we had to join cram school for the chances to talk with foreign English teachers; now, we can use messenger to have conversation with foreign friends. Also, special software can help you to correct your pronounce.

In the past, we had little chances to hear native English speakers’ pronounce; now, many resources on the Internet can help you to hear native English pronounce.

I had used CD-ROMs to hear Studio Class Room before. In addition, I had read some English paragraphs on the internet when I need that information.

However, before I read those paragraphs that are about CALL, I didn’t know computers and Internet can help to prove English skills much more then what I thought.

My name is Nina.

I have used this English name for a long time.



I graduated from Yang-Ping Senior High School.

Now, I am a college student.

Although NTUST wasn’t my dream university at that time, I am not regret to be here now.

I major in Information Management and I am a junior now.



I have many interests such as playing badminton, listening to music, painting, surfing the net and so on. My favorite singer is J.J. so far.

Because of my interests, I join in art club and badminton team of Information Management in school.

Most of the time, I stay in the office of art club, chatting with members.



Also, I like make friends.
